The Stephanie Johnson Fashion Plate Scholarship Fund
a 501 © 3non-profit Mutual Benefit Corp was founded in 2002 in honor of Stephanie Johnson who was a dynamic and innovative young lady that experienced an untimely death. She had a great passion for the fashion industry.
Stephanie was attending courses in fashion design hoping to land a Scholarship to complete her dreams.
She worked diligently alongside her former employer and dear friend Dr. Helen Smith-Draper at X-Cessories-N-Things in Pomona California. Stephanie was given the nickname “Glue Gun” because she was often known to spontaneously redesign her friend’s outfits with rhinestones and jewels using her unusual gifts and famous glue gun. Dr. Helen Smith- Draper and a host of other supporters have developed this scholarship award to honor Stephanie and encourage others dedicated to careers in the fashion industry.
